Course Description

Here are a few tips to really BRING TO LIFE kids' learning and understanding of Essential Oils:

Essential Oils:

  • Show them PICTURES of the plant, tree, flower, grass, or root that each specific oil you share with them comes from. A quick Internet image search can provide you with this information; there are apps for this as well. Also, Essential Oils Academy, the publisher of this Class, has a great Essential Oils Coloring Book available. Ask for details if you are interested.
  • On a GLOBE or MAP, show them which country the oil comes from and talk about what it would be like to visit that country. Note the culture, landmarks, customs, and animals indigenous to that region.
  • Show them VIDEOS on how particular oils are sourced and talk about the people and the culture of the country where the oil comes from. YouTube is a wonderful resource for such videos!
  • If more than one oil can be used to achieve the same result, give kids a choice of which oil they would like to use; likewise, if various methods can be used to achieve the same result (e.g., Topically or Aromatically), always allow them to choose which method they prefer.
  • Allow kids to pick out their own Essential Oil DIFFUSERS. Diffusers come in many fun shapes and colors—from minions and mushrooms to whales and ladybugs! A quick online search will bring forth plenty of options for little ones to choose from!
  • Read CHILDREN'S BOOKS with them that focus on Essential Oils, or other wonderful gifts obtained from the earth. Remind your child that Essential Oils are one of God’s many gifts to us that He brings forth from the earth. Then, see how many other such gifts your child can think of that come from the earth (examples would include food, flowers, wood to make homes, cotton to make clothes, etc.).
